I am a North Carolina Licensed Professional Counselor (license #3106) and a National Certified Counselor with more than 25 years of training and experience working with adults and adolescents in the fields of mental health, employee assistance, vocational and psychosocial rehabilitation, and workplace training and consultation.  I have extensive experience working with medical, psychological/emotional, substance abuse/chemical dependency, relationship, and career issues.  I have been in private practice for 8 years.


I am an interactive, solution-focused therapist who embraces a warm and supportive style in helping clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.  I utilize an eclectic mix of therapeutic strategies drawing from Cognitive-Behavioral, Rational-Emotive Behavioral, Reality, and Insight therapy models. 

Education:  Master's Degree in Counseling from North Carolina State University.  Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

License & Certification:  Licensed Professional Counselor in NC, #3106.  National Certified Counselor.
